Lisa's Shopping Trip to Downtown Mega Mall
Lisa is twenty years old and works at a small office downtown. Today is Saturday, and she wants to go shopping for new clothes. She calls her best friend Kate and asks if she wants to come with her. Kate says yes, and they decide to meet at the bus stop at 11 AM.
Lisa and Kate take the bus to Downtown Mega Mall. The bus ride takes about twenty minutes. When they arrive, the mall is very busy with many people shopping. They start by going to their favorite clothing store on the second floor.
Lisa looks for a dress for her cousin's wedding next month. She tries on three different dresses. The first dress is too big, and the second dress is too expensive. The third dress is perfect! It is a beautiful red dress that fits her very well. Lisa decides to buy it for sixty-five dollars.
Kate wants to buy new shoes for work. She goes to the shoe store and finds a pair of comfortable black shoes. The shoes cost forty dollars. Kate is happy because they are exactly what she was looking for.
At 1 PM, Lisa and Kate are hungry. They go to the food court on the third floor. Lisa orders a hamburger with French fries and a Coke. Kate orders a chicken salad and orange juice. They sit at a table near the window and talk about their purchases while they eat.
After lunch, they walk around the mall for one more hour. They look at books, jewelry, and other things, but they don't buy anything else. At 4 PM, they take the bus back home. Lisa is very happy with her new red dress, and Kate loves her new black shoes.
